A private funeral is set to take place on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 when the “Tutti Frutti” hitmaker will be buried at Oakwood University’s Oakwood Memorial Gardens, director Gerald Kibble tells The Associated Press.
The groundbreaking musician studied theology at the historically black college, owned by officials at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, in the late 1950s, according to his good friend, Pastor Bill Minson.
