The ‘Faces and Sounds’ funnyman says Barack Obama’s daughter got on his nerves for whispering, giggling, and laughing during his standup comedy show in Boston.
Pete Holmes recalled getting furious at Barack Obama‘s daughter Malia Obama during one of his standup comedy shows in Boston. She was with a friend, he told Conan O’Brien. She looked “great” and her pal was “hot” but they were “terrible” audience.
He claimed the two girls sat in the front row whispering the whole time. “It’s worse than heckling,” he said. “What a Black Mirror nightmare to be doing stand up, and there’s two attractive girls – which is what made every nerd into a comedian – in the front row whispering and laughing at people on the stage, but in a bad way.”
“I tell a joke, and they’re whispering and laughing and giggling, and I’m just like, ‘What’s going on? I can see you,’ ” he continued. “They were in the front row. They were in the light. Like the spotlight was on them as well. And I just go, ‘What’s going on? I can see you, please stop.’ ”
He eventually snapped. “You push Petey too far. I’m like, ‘Please, shut the f*** up,’ ” he remembered, claiming he didn’t know who she was while he was on stage fuming. “And I go, ‘I don’t care. Enjoy the show however you want. I just don’t want to see you,’ and I cover them with the curtain.”
“I thought this would get a big laugh. Nothing. The whole audience turns on me,” he said. “After the show, I find out it was Obama’s daughter.”
“I should have been shot,” he laughed. “I covered them. I was like, ‘Shut up, shut up, shut up. You should vanish.’ … And the secret service was like, ‘I like this guy.’ ”
