The Arizona Cardinals‘ first-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft took his mother out for sushi Thursday at the Izaka-Ya by Katsu-Ya in Manhattan Beach, Calif.
After after enjoying a $94.50 meal, Rosen left a $300 tip. He wrote the hashtag “#HugsFromHollyDay” on the check.
“My random act of kindness in Holly’s name was taking my mom out to sushi and tipping a little extra,” Rosen tweeted, including a photo of the receipt. “What did you do?!?!?”
Holly was Heap’s 3-year-old daughter, who died last year after the former NFL tight end accidentally hit her with his truck in the driveway of his home in Mesa, Ariz.
Teams around the league participated in Hugs From Holly Day on Thursday, the day of Holly’s 4th birthday. The Hugs From Holly website specifies to wear pink and suggests acts of kindness to honor Holly. You can also make a donation to the Holly Heap Memorial Fund through the Baltimore Community Foundation.
Rosen also wore pink during his photo op. The No. 10 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft should make more than $16.4 million in his first NFL contract, which is what No. 10 pick Patrick Mahomes received last year from the Kansas City Chiefs following the 2017 NFL Draft.
